PEBBLE PROSE

Hello everyone! You might have noticed that the Pebble Prose newsletter looks a bit different this fresh morning. That is because something has taken place that I’ve been thinking about for some time. Pebble Prose has stepped away from Substack.

I saw Substack originally as a very convenient, free, newsletter platform. A few comic-strip artists used it, and so I barely researched it before I signed up and began to share the little pebble doodles through it.

But, it proved to not just be a newsletter platform.

It’s also a social media platform. With an app, tweet-ish “notes”, a like button, and algorithms to bend to. Substack is a great platform for a plethora of things, but it wasn’t made for the little pebbles. So I’m happy to report that they have officially moved to a standard newsletter platform!

Thank you again for hangin’ around the pebble gang!

In other news, Doodle the Court Jester is officially out and about today!

Doodle the Court Jester is rather awful at his job. He’s solemn, serious, and has no sense of humor whatsoever.
It’s terribly embarrassing.
So when the only portrait of the queen’s mother is accidentally ruined, Doodle offers his assistance in getting it restored before the queen finds out… if only to escape the castle and his bell-covered costume. But with a psychology-obsessed princess, a melodramatic painter, and a slew of card-playing knights, Doodle’s errand proves to be much less dignified than he had hoped.

It is available in paperback and ebook! Paperback is found wherever books are sold, and ebook is available exclusively on Kindle at present, partnering with Kindle Unlimited.

How has 2026 been treating you? What has made you the most excited? See you soon.
