If this little message just popped up in your digital mailbox, it means that you subscribed to pebble prose, and if you subscribed to pebble prose, I’d like to thank ya kindly!

I’d also like to introduce you to a new little project that has been ruminating for a while. It doesn’t have a proper title just yet, so I suppose we can refer to it simply as a series of doodles… Or maybe something relating to pebbles? Or perhaps photography?

Doodly pebble photos…?

Or in layman's terms: daily doodles in photos…

Or in pretentious terms: Mixed media illustrations shared with a collection of esteemed individuals on a routine basis…

We’ll… we’ll work on a name later.

I’ve always loved comic strips. They are such a wonderful medium — it’s amazing how much can be shown and told in just a few frames.

Many comic strips have recently leaped off newspaper pages and now appear daily in digital mailboxes. I love seeing something new from the world of Mutts every morning. It sets a properly whimsical tone for the day.

Although I love comic strips, I could never get the hang of creating them. However, I still love the idea of creating something that is like a comic strip. Some little piece of art that is created almost every day.

But what?

Hmmmm

That “Hmmmm…” has lasted a couple of years.

But then I received a new camera and was fiddling with mixed media and stumbled upon the inclusion of pebbles and other silly creatures in photos — and a figurative lightbulb fizzled on in the foreground.

Perhaps this could be the daily project!

Or, rather, triweekly. Daily is just a tad too ambitious at the moment. We shall see how things feel at the end of this month!

So, without further adieu… welcome!

This is the first of a series of silly little morning doodles, and I hope you enjoy them :)

See you bright and early on Wednesday!
